Ramesses VIII may have been a son of Ramesses III, but he may also have been a son of one of the other seven Ramesses in this dynasty. He may be the son of Ramesses III, Sethherkhepeshef -meryamun, who is buried in the Valley of the Queens QV 43. No tomb has been identified for Ramesses VIII, although some egyptologists believe that KV 19, which was used for the burial of prince Mentuherkhepeshef, was originally intended for him. |
