an abandoned gatehouse new Newinn

We saw this gatehouse at the side of the road near Newinn - it certainly looks as if it belongs to something much larger -- but there is no longer a road and the interior courtyard is overgrown. We'd have needed a machete to push any further, but it was an interesting stop. Anybody have any info?
