travelogue

Dublin is a wonderful, vibrant city -- from the never-ending energy of Temple Bar to the splendid Georgian squares, to the impressive monument so of government buildings. Several companies offer hop-on-hop-off tours that circle the main parts of the city, although it is possible to walk from one end ot the other with a bit of effort. However, there are gems around every corner. Here are a few of the miscellenaeous sites we stumbled into while walking from Temple Bar back to our hotel.

We never did get pictures of Molly Malone, nor the Nelson statue -- we were just too tired to even go a block out of our way. One thing I did learn was that there are no statues of horses and riders in Dublin -- they were all blown up by the IRA.
