No king lists record this pharaoh, and only a few artifacts attest to his existence at all. However, this was obviously a time of upheaval in Egypt, and he may have been a regional king or forgotten because he had a short reign or an insignificant one. Only two things ever show his name: a fragment of stone found in the debris of King Djoser's step pyramid and a stone vessel found under the pyarmid with a serekh containing his name. His name is not listed in any king lists. Most chronolgoies do not include Sneferka at all. |
