The walkways at Priorwood gardens
Along the wall of the extravagant gardens at Priorwood

Priorwood gardens are the amazing walled gardens that are maintained by the NTS near Melrose Abbey. They are very beautiful and very calm. I was completely enamored of the round bushes, and spent a few minutes bouncing on them while Mark took pictures. The garden contains vegetables and fruit trees as well as ornamental plants. I believe that at one time these gardens would have been part of the Abbey grounds themselves. The gardens specialize in flowers for drying.

Hmm. Kind of springy
