This small tower stands in the grounds of a private school and when we showed up a crew of workmen were inside making repairs.

15th century tower house
The castle stands on the grounds of a private school, and we stopped by on our way out to see Hadrian's Wall today. It is a small, rectangular, three-storey tower. They were working inside, and we arrived before they were tenchincally open, so we didn't get to go inside.
Ownership
The castle already existed when it was acquired by the Radclyffe family, and in 1622 the tower was incorporated ito a new manor house, which was never completed and the foundations were destroyed in 1765.
