Temple of Deir el Medina

The temple may have been designed by Amenhotep, an architect who rivalled Imhotep. There are three sanctuaries, the left one showing perhaps the best preserved scene of the weighing of the heart, with a hyena-like creature waiting to devour the souls of those who fail, the creature called Ammit.

The rest of the temple has beautiful renditions of the Book of the Dead on the walls and sanctuaries, again featuring the very beauitful 'Negative Confession", where the deceased witnesses to the gods that he has been a good person and has not performed evil deed.
