Cora Castle
the very thick-walled tower wedged in between farm buildings
16th Century tower
The only thing remaining is a stub of a very thick end wall and one corrner of a tower house. It was built in the 16th century, but that's about all that remains.
Ownership
The Maxwells are associated with the castle. Despite the small size and lack of remains, this castle was a stopping place for Mary, Queen of Scots on her flight to England in 1568.
