Dryburgh Abbey
Yeah, yeah, I know. We went to Dryburgh on the first trip (and the rest of the Border Abbeys, of course), but i just loved them and wanted to see what had changed, what ten years had done in terms of restoration or excavatoin. And, of course, I wanted to look for the bagpiping pig at Melrose Abbey. It was a good start to the trip - a do-able loop, somewhat familiar, and we cold ease our way into driving.
one transept arm of the church, now mostly destroyed
